Background

In late April of 1997, we got a record snowstorm that dumped a reported 5 feet of snow at Barr Camp. I got 2 feet in my driveway—what a workout!

I was thinking it would never melt but just two months later it was all but gone. This started my quest to track the Pikes Peak Barr Trail snow free date.

Mouseover to see snowmelt
exactly two months later!
